Under the contract, TMC will provide a marine compressed air system, including its modern instrument air compressor, to the innovative fishing vessel. TMC has not disclosed the value of the contract.

TMC will deliver the equipment to Tersan Shipyard during 2026.

Tersan Shipyard is reconstructing the vessel for Norway-headquartered Aker QRILL Company, which is an Antarctic krill-harvesting company dedicated to improving health across species. Aker QRILL Company develops krill-based ingredients for nutraceutical, aquaculture, and animal feed applications, backed by science and research into krill’s benefits.

“We have been a supplier to Tersan Shipyard on dozens of vessels in the past few years, so we know how they work, their preferences and high quality standards. That helps to de-risk the supplier-contractor relationship. Further, it is exciting to get the opportunity to deliver our technology to a fellow Norway-headquartered company and such an innovative vessel,” says Hans-Petter Tanum, TMC's director of sales and business development.

The vessel in question is currently undergoing extensive modifications at Tersan Shipyard to align with Aker QRILL Company’s specialized operational requirements, including a significant 25-meter extension, advanced technological integrations, and sustainability-driven customizations. These enhancements will redefine efficiency in krill harvesting operations, ensuring compliance with Norwegian fishing regulations while reinforcing sustainable feed production and marine-based nutrition.

TMC is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. The company designs and delivers compressed air systems for marine and offshore use.
