In 2014, STX France awarded TMC Compressors a contract to supply a complete marine compressed air system, including air dryers and filters, to the impressive Symphony of the Seas. The equipment was delivered, on time, in 2016.

The Symphony of the Seas cruise ship boasts 18 decks and a gross tonnage of 228,081. The ship measures 361m in length and 65.7 in width, and can carry over 6,600passengers as well as a 2,200 person crew.

Royal Caribbean International has shared a video of the fantastic ship on the company’s website.

“Every contract we sign and delivery we make is equally important in its own right, but we gladly admit that it is particularly cool that our equipment is providing service and working air on board the world’s biggest cruise ship,” says Hans Petter Tanum, TMC’s director of sales and business development.

The construction of Symphony of the Seas took 36 months and involved 4,700 shipbuilders and crew.

Beginning 10 November 2018, Symphony of the Seas will operate Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from its year-round home, PortMiami.
